The purpose of this tag is to give a visual hint to readers of talk page items to ignore a discussion thread is moot, that is, having no relevance on the final outcome (see the ). It is hoped that the existence of this tag will make it easier for the reader to pass over these topics or to understand that a response is no longer required or requested.

Usage

Place the following at the beginning of a comment:
